"Clinical grade" is a phrase that gets used loosely in the supplement world. We use it, so we owe you a clear account of what we mean. At Everwild, clinical-grade is not a marketing word. It is a sourcing standard, and below we explain what that standard includes and, just as importantly, what we are not claiming.
Sourcing is part of the formula
One of our core beliefs is that the difference between a supplement that earns its place and one that does not is often not the ingredient itself. It is the source, the form, and the delivery. Three examples show how that plays out for us:
- Wild versus cultivated sea moss. We build on Wild Purple Sea Moss, wildcrafted from clean ocean waters and not rope-farmed, gently dried into a whole-food powder so the plant's natural co-factors stay intact.
- Cold-pressed versus solvent-extracted oil. ThymoCore uses cold-pressed, solvent-free, non-deodorized black seed oil, standardized to 2 to 3 percent thymoquinone.
- Ingredient form. We specify forms on the label: ubiquinol CoQ10, which is the active form, Curcumin C3 Complex standardized to 95 percent curcuminoids, vitamin K2 as MK-7, and NAC in a USP, odor-controlled grade.
What the label shows
The people who read our work are careful readers. When we looked at the questions that skeptical shoppers ask before buying, the same few came up again and again. Is the full ingredient label visible before I buy, or is it hidden? Do the ingredient forms matter? Is it third-party tested? Who is behind this brand?
We think each of those is a fair question, and our answer starts with the label. Every ingredient and its amount is printed plainly. We do not use proprietary blends, because a blend that hides amounts makes it impossible for you to judge a formula. In PulmoMoss, for example, you can see 900 mg of Wild Purple Sea Moss, 350 mg of NAC and 250 mg of quercetin. In ThymoCore you can see 1,000 mg of black seed oil and 100 mg of Curcumin C3 Complex.
Honest labeling also protects you from a common trap: a long ingredient panel that looks impressive but hides how little of each ingredient is actually in it. We would rather show fewer ingredients at amounts you can see.
What we say about how our products are made
Here are the quality statements we make, and only these:
- Our products are made in a GMP-certified facility.
- They are third-party tested for purity, potency and heavy metals.
- They contain no hexane, no solvents and no fillers.
- They contain no proprietary-blend hideouts. Every ingredient and amount is printed plainly.
We choose to keep the list that short on purpose. We are not going to borrow the names of programs or seals we have not earned. If we cannot state something plainly, we do not state it.
Fewer, better ingredients
A second part of our standard is restraint. The supplement industry often runs on the idea that more ingredients means more value. We take the opposite view: a small number of carefully selected, bioavailability-minded ingredients dosed on purpose is better than a long list of underdosed commodities. Where we use a branded ingredient, we do it because published data supports a specific form at a specific amount, and a generic substitute does not carry that evidence along with it.
That is also why our formulas are not crowded. PulmoMoss has ten ingredients and ThymoCore has six, each with a stated job.*
Grounded, not clinical in tone
Our standards are practitioner-level, and our packaging is carefully designed, but we do not want to sound cold. We would rather explain a decision in plain words than hide behind jargon. When we describe how an ingredient behaves, we describe it the way we would to a friend, and we try to lead with how it works and not with promises. Our products are dietary supplements, and we describe them in terms of supporting everyday wellness.*
The short version
When we say clinical-grade, we mean the following: wild-sourced or cold-pressed where it matters, named ingredient forms, honest amounts on the label, a GMP-certified facility, and third-party testing for purity, potency and heavy metals. Beyond that, we ask you to read the label and judge for yourself. We think the label should be able to hold up to that.
Formulas containing Wild Purple Sea Moss and bladderwrack provide naturally occurring iodine and are not recommended for those diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.
