ZephyrCore: An Iodine-Free Antioxidant Complex, Explained

Three studied ingredients, no iodine, no herbs: how ZephyrCore is built to sit beneath any routine and support your body's own antioxidant network.*

Most supplements are built to be the product in your routine. ZephyrCore was built to be something different: a layer that sits beneath whatever you already take. It contains three studied antioxidant ingredients, zero iodine, and no herbs of its own, so it adds to a routine without crowding anything in it.*

This post walks through what is in the capsule, why each ingredient is there, and what we can and cannot say about it.

What is in ZephyrCore

A serving is 2 capsules, and a bottle holds 60 vegetarian capsules. Each serving delivers 671 mg of actives, every one of them disclosed on the label.

  • Setria® reduced L-glutathione, 250 mg. Glutathione delivered pre-formed, in its active reduced state.
  • Bio-Enhanced® Na-RALA (sodium R-lipoate), 221 mg. This is the stabilized, water-soluble sodium form of natural R-lipoic acid, and 221 mg provides about 200 mg of R-lipoic acid.
  • Eriomin® lemon fruit extract, 200 mg. A lemon flavonoid concentrate (Citrus limon) standardized to at least 70% eriocitrin.

The product is made in a GMP-certified facility and third-party tested for purity, potency, and heavy metals.

Why antioxidants need a supply chain

Antioxidants are consumable. When one neutralizes a free radical, it is spent. Your body can recycle some of its antioxidants and build more, but the demand on that system never fully stops. That is the idea we designed around: help supply the body's main antioxidant, help recycle the ones that get used, and add a different kind of antioxidant support alongside them.*

We think of it as a cascade, and each ingredient has a role.

Supply: glutathione

Glutathione is often called the body's master antioxidant, because so many of your other antioxidant defenses depend on it. Setria® supplies it already formed. In a six-month randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 54 healthy adults, 250 mg a day of oral glutathione helped raise the body's glutathione stores, the same amount found in ZephyrCore.* We wrote more about that study in our glutathione explainer.

Regenerate: R-lipoic acid

R-lipoic acid is the natural form your body makes, rather than the 50/50 mix of R and S forms. It works in both the watery and the fatty parts of cells. In laboratory research, its active form helps return spent antioxidants such as vitamin C, glutathione, and CoQ10 to their working state.* In a human study, the water-soluble sodium form reached higher blood levels than free R-lipoic acid.

Reinforce: Eriomin®

Eriomin® brings a citrus flavanone, a different flavonoid family from the polyphenols in many routines, so it broadens antioxidant support instead of repeating it. It is a clinically studied lemon flavonoid that provides antioxidant support and helps support a healthy inflammatory response.*

Why iodine-free matters

Many of our other formulas are built on whole-food sea minerals, and our Tide Line keeps iodine low and disclosed on purpose. ZephyrCore contains 0 mcg of iodine, so it does not change the iodine total of a sea-mineral routine or a multivitamin. It also carries no herbs, so there is nothing botanical to double up on.

That is why it works as a layer. It pairs with PulmoMoss™ and ThymoCore™ in our Land & Sea System, sits beneath Day Tide™ and Night Tide™, and can slot in beside a multivitamin, vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10, NAC, or a routine your practitioner recommends. It can also be a simple starting point on its own: a three-ingredient cascade in two capsules.*

One practical note: if you already take another lipoic acid or glutathione product, check the doses with your practitioner, because you may not need both.

What we do not claim

We would rather be exact than exciting, so here are the limits.

  • "Clinically studied" refers to the individual branded ingredients at the doses studied in published human research. The finished ZephyrCore formula has not itself been clinically tested.
  • The recycling role of lipoic acid comes largely from laboratory research, and how fully it happens in the body is still being studied.
  • We do not claim ZephyrCore changes how your other supplements are absorbed. No study has tested that.

The Founders' Batch bottle

ZephyrCore began as the third part of our Land & Sea System. Our first 3,000 bottles, the Founders' Batch, carry that original label name, and later bottles simply read "Antioxidant Complex." The formula is the same in every batch. Corey wrote a note that rides inside the Founders' Batch bottle, and its point is the same one we have been making here: one layer, any routine.

Who should check first

ZephyrCore is for adults 18 and older and is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Alpha-lipoic acid and lemon flavonoids may affect blood sugar, so if you take medication for blood sugar or diabetes, monitor closely and talk with your healthcare provider before use. If you take any medication or have a medical condition, check with your provider first. Take 2 capsules daily with food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
